A few questions before you plug in?

Will a Weatherproof Gasket prevent a plug from fitting properly?

No.

Weatherproof Gasket material was purposely designed to be extremely pliable and waterproof. The thickness is approximately 1/16 inch and does not interfere with the power requirements of the connection. When the plug is connected, the Weatherproof Gasket will compress between the male and female plugs allowing the mechanical friction of the connection to hold the shield securely in place.

Can I use Weatherproof Gaskets & Plug Covers more than once?

Yes.

The Weatherproof Gaskets and Plug Covers have been used by other customers for many years and make sure that you clean them between uses.

When do I use a Weatherproof Plug Cover?

The Weatherproof Plug Cover is a male plug and should always be used in conjunction with a Weatherproof Gasket to terminate the open female end of the power source.

Can I use a Weatherproof Gasket or Plug Cover for both 2-pronged and 3-pronged plugs?

Yes.

Two-pronged plugs omit the rounded ground prong. Our Weatherproof Plug Cover is uniquely designed to easily break-off the ground prong section for use on 2-pronged, female plugs. For the 3-pronged plugs, no alteration to the Weatherproof Plug Cover is required.

It's very cold where I live. Will the Weatherproof Gaskets harden or get brittle and break?

No.

The waterproof material for the Weatherproof Gasket remains soft and pliable. This material can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -65 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
